TOPIC : Securing the AI Factory: Infrastructure Trust for Organisations Building & Buying "AI"

SYNOPSIS :

AI adoption across the region is accelerating faster than the security models surrounding it. Most AI security discussion today stops at the model and the application: prompt injection, data governance, responsible use. Far less attention is paid to the physical and firmware layer the models actually run on — GPUs, data processing units, high-speed fabric, and the out-of-band management controllers beside them, many of which are reachable independently of the operating system. This session maps the AI infrastructure attack surface end to end and walks the GPU server lifecycle: onboarding, multi-tenant sharing, redeployment between customers, and decommissioning after three to five years of service. It is written to be equally useful to organisations building their own AI capacity and to those consuming it from a cloud or specialist provider, because renting the compute does not transfer the risk. Attendees leave with a due-diligence checklist for interrogating both their own AI infrastructure and their providers'.

SPEAKER'S BIO :

Koay Choon Ping is Principal Solution Engineer for Asia Pacific, Japan, and the Middle East & Africa at Eclypsium, based in Singapore.

He works with public sector agencies, financial institutions, and critical infrastructure operators on digital supply chain security — establishing trust in the firmware and hardware beneath the operating system, across servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure. He came to this work from two decades in networking and security engineering, which is where much of that attack surface now sits.

Prior to Eclypsium, Choon Ping spent over five years at Zscaler as Principal Solution Engineer for the Greater Asia Region, guiding organisations through cloud security and zero trust adoption. Before Zscaler he was Senior Sales Engineer for ASEAN at Gigamon, and prior to that a networking and security consultant at Dimension Data for ten years.

A Data Communications graduate of Multimedia University, he holds CISSP, CCSP, and CCIE certifications.
